Lunch and Tour
Tapestry at Village Gate West, Etobicoke

Thursday, July 8, 2010 - 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Shuttle service from Tapestry at Village Gate West, Etobicoke, will come to Older Adult Centre to pick up guests for a complimentary gourmet lunch and tour of Tapestry facilities at 11:00 a.m. and return them to the Centre by 2:30 p.m.

Comment by participant: This lunch and tour of Tapestry at Village Gate West was most enjoyable. The up-to-date facilities and programs at Tapestry: The Art of Seniors Living were impressive. The gourmet cuisine offered in the Montgomery Restaurant to residents was second to none. As guests, we were invited to choose anything and everything we wanted from the extensive menu, and we did. We had a fabulous complimentary lunch. We asked to see the wonderful Chef to thank him not only for the very delicious food he prepared but the artful displays he carefully created for dishes served. We also liked the availability of full kitchens in rental units as well as the provision of $400 per month for Tapestry residents to eat when they wish, and order what they like from the Restaurant menu with a special discount for residents.

What Is the Price of Not Knowing?
Disability Tax Credits

Attention: People with Disabilities
(and Their Families and Caregivers)

Disability Tax Credit Google image from http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu217/jamesmackeyrpa/accessibility-1-1.gif

Monday, July 19, 2010 - 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Welcome Older Adult Centre Members
What Is the Price of Not Knowing?
Many people with a disability (and their caregivers) do not know they may qualify for significant tax credits - including refunds.

What You Should Know:

- Tax Legislation is considerate of people with disabilities and their caregivers. Tax refund claims can apply up to 10 years retroactively and may often be transferred between family members.

- The tax benefits related to mental and physical disabilities are for those with prolonged restrictions on their daily activities.

- Professional assistance is often critical for establishing eligibility for disability tax credits and for maximizing results.

Attend one of TaxWise FREE Tax Reduction Clinics in the Program Room.

For more information, or if you cannot attend and wish to have a free tax review, call toll free 1-866-448-2188, or visit the TaxWise website: www.taxwise.ca for details.
