Dr. Alan Wolfelt is an author, educator, and grief counselor. He is known across North America for his inspirational teaching gifts. His compassionate messages about healing in grief - based on his own personal losses as well as his professional experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families over the last three decades - speak not only to the intellect but to the hearts of all who hear him. Perhaps best known for his model of "companioning" versus "treating" mourners, Dr. Wolfelt is committed to helping people mourn well so they can live well and love well. ~ Info from Center for Loss and Life Transition.
This presentation will be helpful to anyone who is experiencing grief in their life.

Celebrate 35 Years of Heart House Hospice by supporting it with the Virtual Butterfly Release, presented by Turner & Porter Funeral Directors.
Purchase a live Monarch butterfly for $25 to release in memory or in honour of a loved one. A charitable tax receipt will be sent by email for eligible portion of your purchase.
For more information, contact Shelley Maynard at 905-712-8119 ext. 233.
Pick up your butterfly at Heart House Hospice on Saturday, September 12, 2020 between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and release it later that day at a meaningful or special place of your choice, or outdoors at your home. If you are unable to pick up your butterfly, Heart House Hospice will release your butterfly on your behalf in honour of your loved one.
Bring an insulated bag, cold pack and tea towel to keep your butterfly cool until you get home. The farm where the butterflies grow assures us that the butterflies are much hardier at this time of year so the release should be quite remarkable.
Please share the name of your loved one when you purchase your butterfly. A link with a special presentation of all names honoured will be sent to each butterfly purchaser following the release date.
Butterfly orders close on September 7, 2020 at 12:00 pm.
