Battle of Vimy Ridge from Canadian Encyclopedia. "The Battle of Vimy Ridge, during the First World War, is Canada's most celebrated military victory ... The four divisions of the Canadian Corps, fighting together for the first time, attacked the ridge from 9 to 12 April, 1917 and succeeded in capturing it from the German army. More than 10,500 Canadians were killed and wounded in the assault. Today an iconic white memorial atop the ridge commemorates the battle and honours the 11,285 Canadians killed in France throughout the war who have no known graves."

Participants can purchase native Southern Ontario-stock Pawpaw saplings.
Paw Paw, Paw paw, or pawpaw may refer to: Asimina, the pawpaw genus, a genus of trees and shrubs native to eastern North America. Common pawpaw (Asimina triloba), a temperate fruit tree, native to eastern North America. ~ Wikipedia.
● Pawpaws: America's Best Secret Fruit by Sara Bir, Serious Eats.
● Pawpaw, the Weirdest American Fruit You Never Knew About from Vice.com. "Pawpaw was Thomas Jefferson's favorite fruit, so much so that he planted his own grove of them at Monticello. Some slang terminology for these include the 'Indiana banana,' 'Hoosier banana' 'Poor Man's banana,' or the scientific name, 'Asimina triloba '.
There are over 27 varieties of pawpaw scattered throughout the United States. It grows rampant in 25 states in the East, ranging from northern Florida to southern Maine, growing as far west as eastern Nebraska. The pawpaw is a tropical fruit that is found almost exclusively in the wild, but there are also a small number of commercial orchards that sell cultivated varieties."

See also: How to Grow and Maintain the Pawpaw Tree by HappyDIYHome Staff, May 7, 2022. The pawpaw tree is famous for the fruit that ripens during the fall. The fruit is usually described as being custard-like, and it has a flavor that is an interesting cross between a mango and a banana. The fruit is edible, but you should avoid the seeds or skin of the fruit as it contains annonacin. This is toxic to nerve cells.
