FREE

A day to bring awareness to the topic of Diabetes!

Join us to celebrate World Diabetes Day (WDD).

Talk to our Nurses and Dietitians and learn about Diabetes.

No registration needed.

Led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), World Diabetes Day is celebrated annually on November 14 - the birthday of Frederick Banting, whose work with Charles Best led to the discovery of insulin in 1921. This year, it is also the 10th anniversary of the blue circle - the international symbol for diabetes awareness. It signifies the unity of the global diabetes community in response to the diabetes epidemic.

WDD 2018-19 key messages: The primary aim of the World Diabetes Day and World Diabetes Month 2018-2019 campaign is to raise awareness of the impact that diabetes has on the family and to promote the role of the family in the management, care, prevention and education of the condition.

There are three main focus areas:
● Discover diabetes
● Prevent diabetes
● Manage diabetes

Friday, November 30, 2018 - 2:00 pm

Rated: PG-13 | 1h 59min | Drama | 20 October 2017 (USA)

Director: Director: Michael Carney
Writers: Michael Carney (screenplay), Alexander Foard (screenplay)
Stars: Greg Kinnear, Renée Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou

Plot Summary from IMDb. "Ron Hall lost track of what matters most in life. It took an affair, a confession, a dream and an unlikely friendship with a homeless man to help him remember. From the outside, Ron Hall's seemingly charmed life looked pretty perfect: He had a flourishing art business, a beautiful wife, two fine teen children and an amazing 15,000 square foot house in Fort Worth, Texas. But appearances can be deceptive."
