Chartwell is back to kick off the NEW Senior Star search with a viewing of the DVD from the 2008 winners, filmed at the legendary Imperial Room of the Royal York Hotel. Come and cheer for your favorites. Join host Dinah Christie and celebrity judges: Dan Clancy, Tim Louis and Gordie Tapp for what promises to be an unforgettable evening of music in celebration of seniors. Light refreshments included. Pick up your free ticket at the Administration Office. Attendees will each receive a copy of the 2008 DVD.
We are looking for talented members who sing, dance, tell stories, play an instrument, etc.

The 2009 Variety Show will be on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30, 2009.
Join us for a light lunch followed by a meeting with the Board of Directors. There is no charge for this event. Please sign up in advance at the Administration Office to receive your free lunch ticket. Only paid-up 2009 members are eligible to attend. Our Annual Tree of Sharing campaign will take place April 16 - June 5, 2009. Members, staff, friends and volunteers can purchase blossoms for $25, $50 or $75 for everyone to admire. Each bloom will be highlighted with the purchaser’s name. Tax receipts will be issued by the Older Adult Centres' Association of Ontario (OACAO).
All donors will be invited to our Tea of Sharing on Friday, June 5, 2009.

Chartwell’s “Senior Star” attracts over a thousand competitors! Chartwell Seniors Housing REIT announced that in celebration of Chartwell’s National Appreciation of Seniors initiative on June 16, 17 and 18, 2009, it is encouraging seniors to participate in the third annual “Senior Star” singing and musical instrument competition.
